LiteSheet Solutions elevates product reliability expectations with its ETL and DesignLights Consortium (‘DLC’) listed BriteCor VaporTight fixture

January 19, 2017 (Forest, VA) – LiteSheet Solutions (‘LiteSheet’) has introduced the industry’s latest darling with the BriteCor VaporTight (‘BVT’) premium grade fixture. This gasketed fixture sits at the top of leaderboard for its energy saving and high performance abilities. LiteSheet continues to push industry standards in regard to sustainability and reducing the world’s carbon footprint. The VaporTight series is fully patented and equipped with LiteSheet’s AC Direct BriteCor technology that eliminates the failure prone driver found in conventional LED lighting.

The BriteCor VaporTight is ETL and DLC listed proving the most efficient and reliable on the market.

LiteSheet’s BVT fixture has received professional industry feedback that it maximizes clean aesthetic lines and offers the greatest ease of installation and elimination of maintenance against its competitive set.

The BVT has been coined as one of the most reliable VaporTight fixtures when compared against the top 5 distributors of LED lighting products. One of the key differentiators is the reduction of costs due to its mounting system and tough diffusers, providing significant installation and labor costs savings.

The BVT fixture is designed for indoor and outdoor applications that require dust and water resistance. 20% of LiteSheet’s existing customer base has purchased the BVT as an add-on for adjacent parking garages, cold storage environments and new customers have purchased for agricultural applications and wet locations. LiteSheet has been contacted for bulk order installation within new construction and retrofitted locations because of its ETL approved AC Direct technology and DLC certification, which qualifies the fixture for energy rebates.

LiteSheet’s engineering team challenged standard specifications to ensure the BVT’s never seen before technology creates dramatic shifts in the marketplace. As a result, the fixture provides 450,000 hours MTBF of continuous operation. The company’s head of operations, Debbie Cebry, states, “the BVT has solicited the most positive response that we have seen throughout the testing process for its technological advances.”

The BVT continues to remain on pace with the rest of LiteSheet’s portfolio by offering constant lifetime output of over 120 lumens/watts. LiteSheet’s CEO, Roger Whyte, states that “this is only the beginning of what the marketplace can expect to see from LiteSheet as it relates to LED innovation and our dynamic product roadmap that we have planned for first half 2017.” Whyte has gone on record to say that, “unlike our competitors, we are offering first looks to our upcoming confidential product releases to any customer that contacts our team via sales@litesheet.com.”

As a result of LiteSheet’s extreme growth in the past 6 months, the company has recently moved into its new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility located in Forest, Virginia. All LiteSheet products are available with warranties for up to 15 years backed by insurer Lloyds of London, fully patented and are 100% proudly manufactured in the USA.

Center for Advanced Engineering and Research Receives $1.36M Grant to Support R&D Efforts of LiteSheet Solutions in Bedford County

September 29, 2016 Forest, Virginia – The Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission (TRRC) recently awarded the Center for Advanced Engineering and Research (CAER) a $1.36 million research and development grant at their meeting in Wise, VA on September 20, 2016. This grant will be used to support the research and development activities of LiteSheet Solutions LLC, a privately held light-emitting diode (LED) company that produces the world’s most efficient AC Direct LED light engine. With the support of TRRC Phase I grant funding over the last 3 years, LiteSheet has opened a UL/MET and ETL certified manufacturing facility in in the Little Otter Industrial Park on Forest Road, just outside the Town of Bedford. Bedford, VA and begun hiring employees. It has developed, commercialized, and generated revenue on 11 UL Certified interior lighting product families (representing over 120 products), all of which are DesignLights Consortium (DLC) compliant. With this new Phase II funding LiteSheet will continue this work to develop exterior lighting products, advance the company’s IP technology further, install an additional manufacturing line, and move the company to a new building with more capacity for growth.

With the success of LiteSheet’s initial project in developing technology for product lines that have mainly focused on interior commercial-industrial applications both private and municipal customers have requested exterior lighting including street light cobra heads, parking lot lights, and exterior fixtures for buildings. LiteSheet’s technology provides a 50-year life span with significantly higher energy efficiency; the total cost of ownership is dramatically reduced to the customer. LiteSheet’s adaptive AC Technology is 30% more efficient than conventional LED technology reducing energy costs. In addition, labor costs to change/maintain the fixture are eliminated reducing liability from employee injury in maintaining the fixture. When extended to a street light for a busy street in a city, changing a light bulb becomes a more costly proposition—closing the street, renting/use of a scissor lift or bucket truck, insurance, permits, workers’ comp, the list of savings goes on and on.

“The CAER and Del. Kathy Byron from the Tobacco Commission have been great partners and without their assistance none of this would be possible,” stated Roger Whyte, CEO of LiteSheet. “This additional funding will allow us to continue to expand our product lines and to grow our presence in the region.”

“LiteSheet is an innovative manufacturer that represents the future of their industry”, said Delegate Kathy J. Byron, who chairs the Tobacco Commission’s Research and Development Committee. “They are exactly the type of firm we should be attracting to our region, bringing the jobs that will strengthen our local economy and provide more opportunities for our citizens.”

LiteSheet Solutions earns Intertek Group certification for manufacturing AC direct LED lights in Bedford Virginia

July 18, 2016 (Bedford, VA) – The Intertek Group completed the pre-certification factory inspection at the LiteSheet Solutions (‘LiteSheet’) Corporate headquarters, finding no discrepancies in the quality procedures and policies required by the nationally recognized testing laboratory.  The approval enables LiteSheet to manufacture products that meet UL testing criteria and label them with an ETL certified mark.  Prior to the inspection, LiteSheet had been utilizing an Intertek approved contract manufacturer to produce select lines of its LED fixture portfolio.

“We’re extremely pleased to expand the production of our AC Direct Lighting fixtures in our Bedford facility,” said Roger Whyte, LiteSheet CEO.  “We will be able to maintain our high production quality and continue to be competitive in the commercial lighting industry.”

The ETL certification will initially cover eight product families representing over 30 commercial and industrial light fixtures. All of the approved fixtures use the patented BriteCor AC direct LED engine. The result is a product line with higher efficiency, longer life and less waste throughout the entire life cycle.

These ETL listings against UL and Canadian standards for LiteSheet follow a significant investment from The Center for Innovative Technology that was confirmed in May 2016 and the near close to a very successful series A round of funding. The portfolio comes complete with 140 lumens/watt measured output, 450,00 hours MTBF of continuous operation and the industry’s longest available warranty for up to 15 years. LiteSheet Solutions indicates reliability as consumer’s leading purchase factor and expedited three products to be tested and cleared by ETL

July 13, 2016 (Bedford, VA) – LiteSheet Solutions (‘LiteSheet’) released three ETL listed fixtures to the marketplace this past week in response to unusually high consumer demand. After completing large installations, such as the Cleveland Convention Center Hotel, as well as commissioning its first round of primary research, feedback from these initiatives indicated that reliability and energy efficiency were among the most important features for commercial installs. LiteSheet products incorporate Adaptive AC LED technology, which utilizes AC direct connections, eliminating the DC power supply to create an immediate baseline energy savings of 15%. All released products are ETL listed for damp locations making them universal in their application and installations do not require re-wiring.

The BriteCor Parabolic Lens Troffer (‘BPT’) is a premium fixture with greater than 90% reflectivity and designed for locations that require low glare illumination in a recessed configuration (www.Litesheet.com). BPT comes equipped with anodized semi-specular aluminum louvers, which are manufactured using interlocked construction and mitered corners, making it adaptable to a wide range of retrofits and new construction.

The BriteCor Recessed Grid Troffer (‘BRG’) is one of the most widely used troffers in the portfolio with use cases across a diverse set of applications for commercial and industrial installs in UL defined damp locations (www.Litesheet.com). BRG features Light Lock technology, which reduces light leakages and is applicable for all general illumination needs. Its design eliminates the need for tools when accessing the power connections and knockouts are included to allow for continuous wiring.

The Volumetric Recessed Fixture (‘BTS’) provides uniform ambient lighting across matte surfaces most commonly used in modern office settings (www.Litesheet.com). The fixture also works with optional occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting accessories, which aligns with the company’s corporate mission of providing the highest energy efficiency standards across the industry.

LiteSheet’s founding CEO, Roger Whyte, states “it is paramount that we deliver products that our customers are demanding, which has prompted LiteSheet to commission a series of industry related primary research. Our findings directly resulted in the expediting of these ETL listed products as a part of our portfolio because of the heavy importance on reliability as a top specification across more than 70% of our key customers.”

These ETL listings against UL and Canadian standards for LiteSheet follow a significant investment from The Center for Innovative Technology that was confirmed in May. The portfolio comes complete with 140 lumens/watt measured output, 450,00 hours MTBF of continuous operation and the industry’s longest available warranty for up to 15 years. All LiteSheet products are fully patented and proudly manufactured in the USA.

May 2, 2016 (Bedford, VA) – LiteSheet Solutions attended Lightfair 2016 in San Diego this past week with 14 additional product families, which will expand its portfolio by over 200% in additional product applications (Lightfair Experience).  This expansion effort was driven by the overwhelming consumer demand that was realized in 2015.  LiteSheet Solution’s enhanced portfolio will empower the company to make a greater impact on energy conservation by supplying new industries, such as, transportation, exterior high rises and wet/dry locations.  Traditionally they have serviced office spaces, parking garages and historical landmarks with highly unique specifications.

Just over a week ago, The Center for Innovative Technology (‘CIT’) also announced its investment to the company’s seed round where Ed Albrigo stated, CIT President and CEO, said, “CIT is honored to invest in innovative entrepreneurs and products that are the foundation of our new Virginia economy. The team at LiteSheet has developed new lighting innovations that will not only reduce energy consumption but also produce jobs here at home.”  Located in Bedford, Virginia, LiteSheet is able to design, manufacture and produce all of its products in the United States, reducing shipping times and increasing reliability of the final product.

LiteSheet is sole owner of several patents that allow them to deliver Adaptive AC LED Technology (Technology Roadmap).  This patent protected technology allows LiteSheet to be the only company in the commercial LED industry that can offer a product with a 15-year warranty and long life luminaires, which offer 450,000 hours of continuous lighting.  The company’s CEO, Roger Whyte states, “I am incredibly proud that we have created a more efficient and reliable lighting product by eliminating the power supply, so that it never has to be maintained for its 50-year lifetime.”

Since the company’s founding 2 years ago LiteSheet has trailblazed the AC direct marketplace.  LiteSheet’s founder, Todd Hodrinsky states, “I created this product because I looked at the existing product offering and thought it was far too complicated and something had to change.  I take energy conservation seriously and knew that this could be my way of making a difference.”

LiteSheet Solutions has found a way to deliver constant lumen output improving the quality of light and the dimming capabilities.  Their mesh technology is the power support for their lighting solution and ensures that it can outlast any product on the market (The LiteSheet Product).
